Biography:

I am a humanistic and integrative psychotherapist with a Higher Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Masters in Psychotherapy. I am also a certified associate of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP).

I have experience working with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, stress, separation & divorce, PTSD, grief and chronic illness. I believe that each individual arrives at their difficulty in different ways and therefore the pathway to healing is an individual one. I focus on providing a safe, confidential space for the client to explore their own experience of life and their current challenges. My integrative training means that I have studied a variety of psychotherapeutic techniques including CBT, Gestalt, art therapy, psychodynamic, existential and humanistic therapy, all of which can be tailored to meet the needs of the individual client.

I believe that the strength of the therapeutic relationship is an important part of the work of therapy. I aim to build and nurture a strong, supportive bond with each client in order for the sometimes difficult work of therapy to be achieved. I believe that everyone, no matter how difficult their past, can find a path to contentment, and I am passionate in my work in helping to bring about change in each client’s life.
