Fettle Launches Youth Therapy in Ireland

We are excited to announce today the launch of our newest initiative - Youth Therapy.

At Fettle, we are dedicated to providing mental health support to individuals of all ages. Today, we take a significant step forward to address the unique emotional and psychological needs of teenagers aged between 13 and 18 years.

We understand that the adolescent years can be challenging, and that's why we firmly believe that every young person deserves a safe space to express themselves and explore their feelings.

Recent findings from a Mental Health Commission (MHC) report on child and adolescent services in Ireland have highlighted the concerns faced by parents, guardians, and caregivers in accessing reliable and evidence-based mental health services for their children.

Dr. Susan Finnerty's review of child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) has underscored the need for a comprehensive strategy to ensure effective governance and accountability.

In light of these concerns and our commitment to providing accessible mental health support, we are thrilled to introduce Youth Therapy at Fettle. Our experienced and compassionate therapists are accredited by esteemed bodies such as the IACP and have an average of 10+ years of experience working with adolescents.

About Youth Therapy

Youth Therapy at Fettle incorporates evidence-based approaches, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques, to address various issues that teens commonly face. Whether it's anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, academic pressure, family conflicts, or navigating difficult relationships, we are here to provide support and guidance throughout the journey.

We want both teens and their caregivers to feel comfortable and informed throughout the therapeutic process. Therefore, we require the caregiver's consent before the initial session begins. If your teen is between 13 and 16, we invite you to attend the first half of their initial therapy session, where we will provide you with all the information you need about the process. For teens aged 16-18, informed consent from the caregiver is all that's needed to book a session.

Our aim is to create a safe and confidential environment where teenagers can freely explore their thoughts and emotions. We strive to be a part of the solution highlighted in the MHC report, by offering reliable and evidence-based mental health services to young people across Ireland.

We believe that early intervention and a supportive therapeutic environment can pave the way for positive personal growth and emotional well-being. Our team is committed to making a difference in the lives of Irish youth and providing them with the tools to overcome challenges and embrace their full potential.

If you have a teenager in your life who may benefit from Youth Therapy, we encourage you to take the first step towards healing by scheduling a session with one of our expert therapists at Fettle.
