Biography:

Hi, I'm Mariana Ferreira. Originally from Brazil, I've called Ireland home for the past 18 years.

I am proud to be a member of Irish Association for Counselling Psychotherapy (IACP), ensuring that I adhere to the highest standards of professional competence and ethical practice in the field.

I am fluent in English and Portuguese, and my multicultural background deeply informs my approach to psychotherapy.

Therapy has played a significant role in my life, inspiring me to become a therapist myself. Through witnessing its impact firsthand, I've developed a deep appreciation for the therapeutic process and a genuine desire to help others navigate their own journeys towards healing and self-discovery.

Experience:

During my practice, I've had the privilege of working with clients from diverse backgrounds, each grappling with their unique set of challenges. From identity exploration to cultural adaptation, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and trauma, I've offered compassionate therapy sessions tailored to meet each client's needs.

Drawing from my multicultural background and training as a psychotherapist, I bring a unique blend of empathy, cultural sensitivity, and adaptability to our sessions.

I've dedicated myself to creating a supportive and non-judgmental space for clients to explore the complexities of their lives.

Clinical Approach:

I adopt a holistic approach that integrates elements of humanistic principles, along with cognitive-behavioural techniques and mindfulness practices, to provide comprehensive support.

My counselling style is collaborative, placing emphasis on fostering a strong therapeutic alliance where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. Together, we've worked to gain insights into their experiences, identify strengths, and develop effective coping strategies. My goal has always been to empower clients to cultivate self-awareness and overall well-being.

As I continue on this journey as a psychotherapist, I remain committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity, empathy, and empowerment within my practice. I invite anyone seeking support to reach out and begin their healing journey with me. Together, let's embark on the path towards self-discovery, resilience, and growth.
