Biography:

I am a qualified psychotherapist/counsellor with NAPCP (National Association for Professional Counselling and Psychotherapy).

I graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Sociology, and completed my Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy with ICHAS College in Limerick. I became enthralled with mindfulness during the Covid-19 lockdown, when I realised how much mindfulness and holistic healing helped me throughout.

I became passionate about wanting to help others through their own healing process, as seeing the effect Covid-19 had on everyone’s wellbeing.

My Approach:

Healing through therapy can be a wonderful thing and I believe that everyone has that power within and that sometimes people just need some extra guidance and support throughout their healing journey.

I am passionate about helping people on this journey, whether it is related to clients realising their own self-worth or aiding individuals throughout their experiences with challenging certain negative thoughts and perspectives. This can also relate to helping people cope with disorders such as OCD and anxiety, or helping people change that negative outlook they may have on themselves or other aspects of their lives. It is important to remember that every feeling and emotion you experience is valid.

It is very easy to get caught up some of the obstacle’s life can throw at you, and sometimes we can forget to look after ourselves during these times. In therapy, I encourage you to give yourself that time, to reflect on anything and to explore anything you wish to share.

The core aspects of therapy I value most are empathy, compassion and active listening. I strive to create a comfortable and safe environment for all my clients whilst creating a trusting and understanding therapeutic relationship between myself as the therapist and my clients.

I use an integrative therapeutic approach, where I incorporate both Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT) and Person-Centred therapy (PCT) into our sessions. Through these therapies, I hope to guide you through your journey of reflection, exploration and challenging yourself, whilst focusing on empowerment and self-compassion.

My Treatment Approaches:

- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

- Person-Centred therapy (PCT)

- Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT)

- Compassion-focused Therapy (CFT)
