My work with clients is a collaborative process where we both work together focusing on the issue at hand. My approach is Integrative, in that I incorporate concepts from different theoretical approaches, including, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy and at its core, Person-Centred (Humanistic).
People come to therapy looking for change, but change can be frightening, feeling paralysed with fear and uncertainty. All the usual questions of “what if it’s too difficult”, “what if I fail”, “what if I can’t cope”- this is all perfectly normal! Most people coming into therapy feel this way. You have the ability to change this whether you believe it or not, given the time, space, reflection and guidance you can achieve your goals.
