Biography:

I am a fully qualified Counsellor & Psychotherapist, and a certified associate member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP). My qualifications include a Higher Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy with Dublin Business School. I also hold an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Sociology from University College Dublin.

I have worked in both community settings and private practice, and have worked with clients who have a diverse range of issues. These include anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, relationship issues, abuse, bereavement, existential concerns, as well as loneliness.

I am passionate about people and believe in the meaningful contribution that therapy can make to achieving a contented and fulfilled life. As a humanistic and integrative psychotherapist, my view is that people innately have the capacity for healing, growth and reaching their own unique potential. I provide a safe, empathic and non-judgmental environment in which to work with clients and view the therapeutic relationship as paramount in fostering change. I am person-centred in my approach but offer a tailored style of practicing psychotherapy according to individual needs, incorporating psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural therapy, gestalt and existential elements. This orientation reinforces the idea that all individuals are unique and "no one size fits all".
